Reporting on a polarized country: Intergenerational meeting of UIP journalists

Mexico

Being a journalist in a polarized and unsafe country presents several challenges. To that end, this space for reflection is being opened with two journalists: Nayeli Roldán and Daniela Rea, who have had recognized professional careers—especially for challenging power—and with students and graduates of the Journalistic Investigations Unit (UIP) to share experiences from their time at the unit. "What has your experience as a journalist been like?" "What challenges have you faced?" will be some of the questions involved. May this space for reflection on journalism and the needs of the new generations serve to understand what tools they need to practice journalism.
